• Question: what made you want to make fish glow?

      It sounds like a cool technique right? It’s actually really useful as well. We can use some gene cloning to add glowing genes from jellyfish to other genes or bits of DNA in fish. Then we can see where they glow in the fish to know that that’s the area of the fish that the gene is working in at that specific time! I didn’t come up with the method, it’s been used for years, but seeing little glowing baby fishes is always a fun experiment! 🙂
