• Question: What is the most cool science apparatus you have used ???

      That’s easy – the Large Hadron Collider! This is a 17 mile long tunnel that we use to collide particles together really really fast.

      I guess it would have to be the Hubble Space Telescope. Even though its quite old now, it was upgraded several times by astronauts and it still gives us amazing views of objects in space.

      In 4 years we’ll be launching its successor into space, the James Webb Space Telescope. It will be almost 3 times larger, and you can read about here

      Like Francesca, I would say the LHC. It is the largest experiment ever built!

      It would definitely be the Chandra X-ray Observatory, its a telescope designed to look at only X-rays and its in space! It was amazing to be able to take control of it for a day and point it towards the part of space I wanted to look at. Obviously I didn’t go into space to use the telescope, as its remotely controlled from the ground, but its exciting to know I was controlling it!
