Knowing that I’m helping people in the long run with my research is an incredible feeling. I love the journey to discovery and whether I find something or not I get to say that I’ve added to medical research and that is a great feeling 🙂

When you do a science experiment or calculation, most times you don’t know what you will find. You might expect a result, but if you do the science right sometimes you find something new.

That’s the best thing about science for me – finding new stuff! For example, I’m in a team of scientists that measured how fast an asteroid was rotating. When we did the calculations we could only understand them if the asteroid was made of two different rocks stuck together!

I love the feeling that ever day I go into work there’s a chance I’ll discover something totally new and awesome that might be a really important discovery that people remember for years! And even if that doesn’t happen very often its great to go into work each day to learn something new! 🙂
