Emotions are formed in the brain when we experience different things, but no-one knows how. Maybe you’ll be the scientist to discover this?

Emotions are linked to processes in the brain. Some emotions are also related to various hormones. No one really knows how it works though!

We think emotions are caused by a combination of chemicals and hormones in the brain, and the interaction of neurones in the brain as well, but its not a well understood area because its so difficult to understand how human brains work. If you’re interested in how the human brain works it’ll probably be a really good area of scientific research to get involved in in the future!
