• Question: On your profile, it says that you got a MSci in Physics and then moved onto astrophysics. What kind of areas of physics did you study and why did you decide to move to do a PhD in astrophysics?

Good question! I did a degree in Physics at Bristol University and, like most universities, when you study physics you get a lot of options about what parts of physics you want to study. For example you could study quantum physics, particle physics, heat physics or material physics. I had an interest in Astrophysics at the time, so I took all the astrophysics options.

Usually at the end of your university degree, in the last year of your studies you do a small research project so that you can experience what its like to research something. This is a useful way to learn things and to do real science. I did a project on astrophysics and really enjoyed it so I decided at the end of my degree that I wanted to do more research so I applied to do a PhD.
