I’m not an expert on cancer, but I don’t think this is true, no. Sometimes news papers are very bad at reporting science stories and they say things that are inaccurate 🙁 This is why we need more people like you to know more about science!

There are lots of drugs used to treat the symptoms of cancer and may more are being developed as we speak. In terms of curing cancer, chemotherapy can be used which is actually a drug therapy. This uses cell killing drugs and works better with some types of cancers then others, but it can cure some people of cancer and works quite well on testicular cancer. So technically yes, some drugs can cure some cancers. However the news often reports inaccurate things about how effective some drugs are when they are only in the early stages of testing. We will most probably never find one drug that cures all cancers as they are all so different anyway. Be wary of news reports of ‘miracle drugs’ as often they say things that are exaggerated!
