• Question: Is it possible to age blood?

      Well, I don’t know When you’re a scientist you learn lots of stuff, but most of it is in the area that you choose to study.

      I’m a bit squeamish 😮 so I went into physics rather than biology. But I like the question, and you’ve got me wondering now! I think I’ll try and find out.

      Good question! I think scientists can estimate people’s age by their blood, yes, but it’s not as reliable as other methods.

      I don’t think you can work out the age of the blood itself but you can use the blood to work out how old someone is.

      Yes! But it gives an estimate not an exact answer. It could be incredibly helpful in forensic science by estimating a suspect’s age from blood at the scene of a crime 🙂
