No, plants are made of vegetable matter. There are gases and fluids within the leaves and stems of plants, but they’re pretty solid as you say!

Plants are mostly made of solids, but they do have gases within them. Some gases can be absorbed by liquids which the plant can them transport around itself in tubes – plants are really clever!
