Certainly. Thats the most important part of doing science, asking other scientists questions about their work, and explaining my work to others in response to questions. Thats how we learn.

Yep! But the best reply is when I say ” I don’t know”. That means I have something else to learn, or maybe no-one knows and its a new piece of science to do. It’s a scientists job to discover new facts and new understanding, and that’s what makes it so interesting.

Yes! Science is about asking questions and trying to answer them, after all, that’s how we find things out. It’s ok in science to say “I don’t know”, that’s just being honest, but then you can design an experiment to find out the answer! When I present my work at a conference I get asked a lot of questions, and it’s fun to answer those questions and use other peoples ideas to test my theories.

Yes! Often people think of really interesting questions I’d never have thought of myself. I’m really enjoying answering all your questions here too!

Definitely! It’s one of the reasons why I wanted to come on here and do this competition. As much as I love being able to answer questions I do also like it when I can’t and get to go off looking for an answer 🙂
