Science is all about finding how things work all around us, both nature and the living objects. So yes, science has everything to do with nature and animals 🙂

This reminds me of something I read. I dont remember the exact details, but you get the idea. A scientist was asked do you need to know science to appreciate the beauty of the nature? The answer was, no, but when you look at the clear night sky, if you know which ones are the stars and which ones are the planets, how so very far they are, why they blink, you appreciate nature more!

Yep. It helps us understand how animals and plants live and survive. It also lets us understand how different types of plants and animals are created, by something called evolution.

But just because we understand a lot about nature and animals now, it doesn’t change how we feel happy when cuddling a puppy or cat, or walking in a sunny wood.

Yes! Science is all about understanding how the world works, and this includes nature and animals. Some scientists like biologists focus on studying nature and animals directly. I’m a particle physicist, so the things I study are much, much smaller than animals. However, animals are made out of lots and lots of particles, so in a way I study animals too!

Definitely. Science is about understanding everything around us which includes nature and animals. That’s the really cool bit, you get to work out why the stuff around us is like it is and why we are like we are. What’s even cooler is that we still don’t know so much and get to use science every day to keep trying to understand even more about the world around us. We’ll never know it all but we’ll have a great time working out some it!

Yes, it can do if you’re a biologist or a chemist and even in astronomy there are now biologists who study what life may be like on other planets – they’re called astro-biologists and its a really exciting new area of research!
