0 Question: do you have to live in USA to be considered for NASA? Keywords: career, life, personal Asked by alpacasmurf to Nick, Alan on 12 Mar 2014.
Alan Fitzsimmons answered on 12 Mar 2014:
Generally yes. When I’ve worked with NASA its only been for small projects where I only need to visit the USA.
But what do you want to do? If you want to be a space scientist or an astronaut, then you could work for ESA instead. And then you can stay in Europe.
Nick Wright answered on 13 Mar 2014:
To work for NASA you would have to work at one of NASA’s research departments in the USA – but this can be a great opportunity to live and work in a foreign country! I lived in the USA for 5 years and really enjoyed it!

I would like (as youve probably guessed from my questions) to go on the mars mission in the 2030’s. I think it’s being run by NASA but im not sure.
