• Question: is the erths core made from meatal ???

      Yes, it’s made of the metal iron. This is because billions of years ago all the Earth was molten. Heavy elements like iron sunk down into the centre, while lighter molten rocks stayed floating on top at the surface.

      Yes we think its made of iron! We think this because when the Earth was molten when it formed the heaviest elements (iron) would have sunk to the core whilst the lighter elements (carbon and oxygen) would have stayed on the surface. Also we know that Earth must have a magnetic element in its core because the Earth has a magnetic field, and iron is one of the most magnetic elements we know of.
