Hmm, this gets me thinking. I guess I can say travelling to Geneva (thats where CERN is) is fun, but nothing beats the satisfaction of coming up with a new results, even if its not something huge.
Wow, that’s a difficult question, there’s a lot that’s fun to do. For my particular job, I guess my favourite thing is being in the control room of a giant telescope, pointing it at the coordinates of the object I’m studying, and taking the first pictures. You never know exactly what you will see or what you will find.
I guess the best bit for all scientists is when you solve a puzzle or find something unexpected. That gets really exciting!
Good question! My favourite thing to do is to discuss ideas and theories with my colleagues. There are lots of discussions in science because thats an easy way to test your theories and to come up with new ideas!
