The Mily Way is about 100,000 light years across. That’s 900,000,000,000,000,000 km!

It’s hard to define exactly where the Milky Way ends, but as Alan said, it’s about 900 million billion km across!

The Milky Way is huge! Its about a billion billion km across, which is a really hard number to think about, so its hard to comprehend sometimes. Its the same as about 150,000 light years, which means if we shined a light towards the other side of the galaxy it would take 150,000 years for the light to get there! Imagine that!
