Bones are made the same way as everything else in our bodies when we’re a foetus. The are made by bone cells attaching to each other and building up the bones. It’s important because bones make the framework our bodies are built around, and they help support our organs and limbs.

The continue growing with us until we’re an adult the same way everything else in our bodies grows. When we eat good food the nutrients are used by our bodies to make new cells. Without proper food your body cannot develop the right way.

But bones are very special, because inside them are special cells that make blood! Did you know all our blood is made within our bones?

Bones grow inside babies bodies when they’re a foetus, though they are initially very weak and they take a little time to fully strengthen.
